DRWO4.0: Train-the-Trainer Workshop on Lean Management in Kuchl, Austria
On 13 May 2025, the DRWO4.0 project successfully held a Train-the-Trainer workshop on Lean Management, delivered by Culmena Ltd. at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences (SUAS), Campus Kuchl. The workshop hosted 35 participants in person, with additional participants joining online, making it a hybrid and inclusive event.
Representing the Cluster of Czech Furniture Manufacturers, Cooperative, the event was attended by project managers Lucia Haraslínová, Monika Perďochová, and Josef Dubec. The cluster’s membership base was represented by Monika Slabá and Jiří Rýznar (WOOD 4 EVER, s.r.o.).
Participants were welcomed by Prof. Alexander Petutschnigg, Head of Department at SUAS, and the DRWO4.0 project was introduced by Bernard Likar from the Wood Industry Cluster Slovenia. The main sessions were led by Nedeljko Štefanić (Culmena Ltd.), focusing on Lean methodology in the context of Industry 4.0 transformation for the wood industry.
The interactive workshop format combined theoretical inputs with practical exercises, including the production of model planes and structured activities designed to identify and improve work processes. The event concluded with a networking lunch, fostering exchange among participants from different countries.
The workshop highlighted the importance of practical training and knowledge sharing to support the digital transformation and efficient process management in the wood-based industry.
